Spurgeon College is excited to give high school students a head start on their college career through dual-credit and dual-enrollment courses. These courses are available at a significantly discounted tuition rate and are applicable to undergraduate programs here are Spurgeon College, and may be transferable to other institutions
Application and Enrollment Process
Dual Enrollment and Dual Credit students must initially apply to Spurgeon College. The application will be reviewed by the Spurgeon College Admissions Office for admission. After being admitted, students must submit and enrollment form to [email protected] for each semester they wish to enroll.
General Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for dual credit or dual enrollment you must:
- Be enrolled in high school
- Have a GPA average of 3.25
- 9th grade students only – Score at the 90th percentile or above on the ACT or SAT
- Complete the online application in its entirety, including permission from a parent or guardian
Dual-Credit Courses
- Taken at the student’s high school
- Taught by high school instructors
- Use syllabi approved by Spurgeon College
- $350 (3 credit hour course)
- You must apply and be admitted for Dual-Credit at Spurgeon College before enrolling.
Dual-Enrollment Courses
- Taken on the campus of Spurgeon College or via online platform
- Taught by Spurgeon College faculty
- $250 (3 credit hour course)
- You must apply and be admitted for Dual-Enrollment at Spurgeon College before enrolling.
Spurgeon College Advantage Scholarship
First-time Spurgeon College students who have previously completed 9 or more hours through the Spurgeon College dual credit/enrollment programs with a GPA of 3.25 or higher are eligible for the Spurgeon College Advantage Scholarship. This scholarship awards $1,000 toward tuition in the first year of full-time enrollment at Spurgeon College. See the Dual-Credit Handbook for more details.
