HOW A DEPOSIT SERVES STUDENTS

FOR THE FALL 24 SEMESTER, SPURGEON COLLEGE IS REQUIRING ALL NEW STUDENTS TO SUBMIT THEIR DEPOSIT PAYMENT BY MAY 1.

Our enrollment deposit process allows us to better serve students and families by ensuring housing availability and other key amenities related to the college experience.

Students who submit the enrollment deposit will be given priority placement in dorm housing through roommate choice. Deposited students will also receive consideration for our limited number of institutional scholarships.

Submitting the enrollment deposit by May 1st enters a student for institutional scholarships and priority placement in residential housing. Housing preferences will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Yes, students who do not wish to enroll at Spurgeon College may be refunded the deposit before May 1st. After this date, the deposit is non-refundable. For students who enroll at Spurgeon College, the deposit is applied to the first semester of billed charges.

No, but students may still submit the housing application and deposit to secure a spot in housing. Students who qualify to live off campus and do not wish to live in the dorm will not be required to submit the deposit.

No, but you must submit a smaller housing deposit for each subsequent academic year in which you live in residential housing. This housing deposit is refundable upon a “clean check-out” of your housing unit at the end of your leased agreement.

No. Only submission of the $300 in full will be considered as submission of the deposit.

Yes, the deposit deadline for Spring-start students is November 1st.

No, but Fusion students must submit the $800 Fusion deposit.

Scholarships at Spurgeon College are limited, but all deposited students will be considered for these limited scholarships pending receipt of a scholarship application by the scholarship deadline. Non-deposited students will not receive scholarship consideration, even if a scholarship application is submitted.

Yes, if you are required to live on campus, the housing application is required to determine your housing needs.

The enrollment deposit is applied to the student’s ledger for any charges incurred. For students in the dorm, the housing deposit is covered by the enrollment deposit.
