Spurgeon Library Conference

April 24 @ 8:30 am

Spurgeon Library conference banner

The Spurgeon Library Conference is an annual academic conference that engages Spurgeon scholarship for pastors and church leaders.

The third annual Spurgeon Library Conference will be held on April 24, 2024, and our keynote speaker will be Dr. Michael Reeves. He will speak on the theme: “Spurgeon on the Christian Life: Alive in Christ.” Spurgeon’s vision for the Christian life began and ended with Christ, and Dr. Reeves will draw from the treasury of Spurgeon’s teaching to help us grow in our love and obedience to Christ. Drs. Thomas Kidd and Geoff Chang will also speak on Spurgeon’s controversy with the American South over slavery and his ministry as a pastor. For all attending, we pray that you would walk away refreshed and helped, not only by Spurgeon but by the Savior that He preached.

The cost is $30, which includes book giveaways. The conference will be held in the Spurgeon Library on the Midwestern Seminary campus, so seating is limited. We look forward to seeing you!
