Spurgeon College’s History program is designed to equip students to engage in historical research and study from a Christian worldview. Students will be trained in the theory and practice of global historical research, equipping them to be effective leaders in various contexts. The program also prepares students for advanced study in professional and academic graduate programs.

This program offers students 15 hours of elective credit throughout their program.
Students graduating with the History major will be able to do the following:

- Gain a foundational understanding of history’s impact on contemporary life and society.
- Demonstrate the ability to employ historical research skills to various sources.
- Demonstrate the ability to present historical research in written form.
- Integrate a biblical worldview into the practice of historical research and analysis.
