BA, Biblical Studies and Counseling Psychology

The double major programs at Spurgeon College are divided into three distinct sections. Students take classes in the General Education component, the Christian component, and then in the Professional component.

The Biblical Studies major is designed to provide increased understanding and skill in the interpretation of Scripture, theological reflection, with special emphasis on a working knowledge of Hebrew and Greek, thus equipping students for local church ministry, evangelism, international missions, denominational service, and subsequent graduate study.

The Counseling Psychology Major is designed particularly for those who intend to go into the field of Christian Counseling. This major will prepare the student to enter the Master of Arts in Counseling (MACO) degree program.
